Angel Ornament
Material:
Size 10 crochet thread, white
Any color embroidery floss
Size 9 (2.75) & 10 (3.25) crochet hooks
Fiberfill stuffing
Tapestry needle
Stitch marker
Clear gel tacky glue
Abbreviations:
St(s) = stitch(es)
Ch = chain
Slst = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
sc2tog = single crochet 2 together (single crochet decrease)
pic= picot
RND = round
SM = stitch marker
TN = tapestry needle
Special instructions:
picot stitch:
Sc, ch 2,  sc in second ch from hook, repeat in next stitch
Work in rounds, place SM in 1st stitch of each RND to mark beginning.
With larger hook,
Ch 2,
RND 1: 6 sc in 2 and ch from hook
RND 2: 2 sc in each st around.
RND 3: 1sc in each st around
RND 4: 1sc in each st around
RND 6: sc2tog 6 times
RND 7: sc in each st around
RND 8: 2 sc in each st around
RND 9: 2 sc in each st around
RND 10: 2 sc in each st around
RND 11: sc in next 12 sts, skip next 12 sts, sc in next 12 sts, skip next 12 sts, (RND completes with 1st sc of next RND )
RND 12: sc in each st around
RND 13- 15: repeat RND 12
RND 16: sc, ch 1 in each st around
RND 17-18: sc, ch 1,  in each ch 1 space,
RND 19: sc in each ch 1 so around
Switch to smaller hook and trim color for remainder.
Trim
RND 20: sc in each sc around
RND 21: pic in each sc around, slst to 1st sc to join, finish off
Weave in ends with TN.
Sleeves:
Use smaller hook and trim color for sleeves.
join trim color to sc at bottom of sleeve
RND 1: sc in each sc around
Rnd 2: *pic in next st, sc in next st* repeat from * to* around, join with slst to first sc, finish off.
Weave in ends with TN.
Finishing:
Stuff head with fiberfill, cut off length of white, weave through stitches of neck and tie off tightly to keep stuffing my in. With long ends, form a loop and tie off to make a hanger for the ornament. Secure loop by putting a drop of glue on knot.:
Halo:
With smaller hook
Start with a long tail of thread
Ch 10
Join with slst to beginning ch being careful not to twist the ch. Finish off
Leave a long tail of thread at end.
With both long tails, make a bow at base of chain. Glue halo to top of head with bow to the back. Cut ends of thread as long as you like. Put a drop of glue on center of bow knot to secure.
Bow
Cut a length of trim color, weave into sts at front of neck, tie into a bow, cut ends to size, put a drop of glue on center knot to secure
